Book: "Subliminal: How Your Unconscious Mind Rules Your Behavior" by Leonard Mlodinow
Over the past two decades of neurological research, it has become increasingly clear that the way we experience the world--our perception, behavior, memory, and social judgment--is largely driven by the mind's subliminal processes and not by the conscious ones, as we have long believed. Mlodinow shows the many ways the subconscious influences how we misperceive our relationships with family, friends, and business associates; how we misunderstand the reasons for our investment decisions; and how we misremember important events along the way, changing our view of ourselves and the world around us.
If you want to become more self-aware of how your subconscious may be driving your actions, join us for an interactive review of the book!
This thought provoking discussion will be co-facilitated by Lynne Ingersoll with xplorLeadership.
As a reminder, you don't have to read the book to attend! Most do not, and we always have a very engaging discussion!
During this roundtable we'll:
· share our own experiences in this area in our businesses
· share best practices from our own personal experience or from industry thought leaders
· share ideas on how to improve the area within our businesses to fuel growth
Note: We are looking for people to facilitate book discussions for 2017, so please don’t hesitate to contact me if there is a book that you’re passionate about and would like to share with the group. The meetings take place the second Friday of every month. Thanks!
