Theresa Payton Bio:
Theresa Payton was formally the Chief Information Officer for the White House during the Administration of President George W Bush. She was the first woman to hold that position. Previous to her role at the White House, she was a Senior Vice President in the Financial Services Industry for 16 years working for Wells Fargo and Bank of America managing global, 24X7 technology and operations.
Upon leaving the White House, Theresa founded Fortalice, a company that focuses on risk, security and fraud for government organizations and private sector companies.
Theresa graduated cum laude from Immaculata University in 1989 with a double major, B.A. Economics and Business Administration with a certification in Computers. In 1990, she graduated with her Masters in Management Information Systems from the University of Virginia. She earned her certificate in Banking Graduate Studies from the Graduate School of Banking of the South at Louisiana State University in 1997.
Theresa holds a Top Secret-SCI clearance and is also a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
She is married to Chris Payton, an executive at Bank of America, and they have 3 kids: Kieran (7), Aidan (5) and Maeve (18 months).
