As an entrepreneur, there are 3 questions you need to ask yourself:

1.) Do I HAVE a Strategic Plan set up by quarter?

2.) Did I ACHIEVE my Strategic Plan for the 1st Quarter, 2011?

3.) Have I ADJUSTED my Strategic Plan to account for Q 1?

If you can’t answer each question with a strong YES, your business is in danger. There is still time, but you are losing the opportunity to get your business on course. And if you ever plan to raise third-party financing for your business, be it a bank line of credit, an SBA 504 loan for capital additions, or private equity for growth, it won’t happen without a solid business plan in place and a two year record of successfully operating your business against prior year plans.

Don Murfin will lead you through the process of creating your living strategic plan so you will have the framework that supports your corporate strategy.

In 2 hours you'll learn how to .....

....Master a One-Page Strategic Plan

....Identify your Core Values and Purpose

....Define your 3 to 5 year targets, your Sand Box and Brand Promise

....Set 1 Year Goals, Key Initiatives, and Key Performance Indicators

.... and Determine the Quarterly Actions required to meet your Goals.

Don’s workshop is based on Verne Harnish’s book, The Rockefeller Habits.

Don has had a very successful career as a venture capitalist and has now turned to business coaching where he brings his many years of experience and business development skills to growing companies in the Carolinas. He founded Lubrizol Enterprises, Inc. and managed that venture development organization for ten years and was recognized as leading the most successful corporate venture group in the country. He was a founding general partner of three venture funds. He financed such notable companies as Biogen (a first round investor), Flextronics International (an early turn-around investor), and Genentech,(a second round investor where he served on their Board of Directors for 18 years). He has been a featured speaker at national venture capital meetings. Don is currently a business coach with AdviCoach.

While Don has evaluated thousands of business plans over his career, he is also a doer. In addition to assuming interim operating roles with several portfolio companies, he founded a community restaurant in early 2010 that has provided over 15,000 meals in just over a year …and it’s open only one day a week!
